What is CD Stud Welding:

The CD Stud Welding is a welding process which joins “cd studs” with base metal by discharging the electric energy charged on capacitors. The capacitors supply inrush current which produces an electric ballast between stud & base metal that fuses their joining surfaces, the balance stud & base metal be cool hence no weld sign or deformation on other side of base sheet. At the same time a spring force from welding gun pushes stud towards base metal, with this force both stud & base metal meet in fuse state and the joint forms instantly. The electric blast held only for 1 to 3 milli seconds. This superfast process make cd stud welding superior than other welding processes

Introduction to SW20 Stud welders :

The SW20 series of Cd stud welder is a microcontroller based digital circuit series having 7-segment display to view the set volts & status. All models have easy installation & will work on single phase 220-V electric supply. The output are adjustable from 20 to 200 Volts in 1 volt step. These machines are reliable and instantly welds the studs of various diameters and lengths to metal products made of Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, GI Sheet, bronze, aluminum, copper, titanium and other grades. These have unique specialty over convention welding processes where the convention weld techniques cannot weld thin material, with cd stud welder it is possible to work even with thin sheet metal with a thickness of 0.3 mm, while obtaining a very strong weld without stain. The average time of the welding is about 1 to 3 milli sec. The Cd stud welding machines are best suitable for the 3 to 10 mm diameter studs.
